Windshield Wipers
Being a truck driver I spend a lot of time looking out of the windshield. Being a truck driver I spend a lot of time thinking about looking out of the windshield. This job can be boring at times. But that started me thinking how important a clean window is for the safe operation of 80,000 pounds of rolling stuff. The people that design these beasts of burden must not have to drive them.
The wipers, when in the "parked" position, are too far below the defroster vents, the blades are too long and ice builds up lifting the blade off the window. There should be a "cold" park position a little further up the window to keep them warm, the blades should be shorter too.
And how about that solvent? Have you checked yours lately? No? I know, its a pain in the butt. The solvent tank should be in the drivers door or in the back of the drivers seat. This way you could check the level every time you get into your car and as real bonus, the fluid would be warm!
I'll be watching over you on the road. Be Safe!
