Solar Powered Christmas Lights

Around Detroit the Christmas lights are up. Most lights are just plain white; small bulbs. I still like the larger bulbs with red, green, blue, yellow...

But what is really needed are Solar Powered Christmas, (and Halloween too!), lights.
Some of my customers have asked me to put lights up for them but I have turned this work dowm because of the inadequate or dangerous power supply. I can't take on the liablitity. The best thing you as a homeowner can do is to have an electrician insatll several outside outlets in the eves and near the ground. One on each side of the front door is best so that you don't need to run an extension cord over the walk. Make sure to have these outlets grounded and with a Ground Fault Interupter (GFI).

Better yet would be Solar Powered lights! They make solar decrative lights for walkways and gardens. Why not Hoiliday lights too? Most people only burn the lights for a few hours a day so storage and low light should not be a big problem.

Democrat's Short Attention Span

Well it didn't last too long. The Democrats are dreaming up new taxes already. Here in Michigan the Teachers Union thought they could push a Constitutional School funding amendment through; man were they wrong! It went down big time. Steve King, a newly elected Livonia Board of Education Trustee, noted the Michigan Legislature is trying to allow taxes for schools to get around Proposal A and Headlee. (Amendments that cap property taxes. They are even pushing for an extension of the People Mover in downtown Detroit. We don't even have a functioning bus system in Detroit.)

The voter/taxpayer just ain't buy'n what they're sell'n...
